this diptych "roots and seeds" on my studio floor this morning is an emerging growth of "close up of a new". Named now "roots and seeds" is at http://bit.ly/KCYqOU, entered June 6, 2012
mounted on two semi-identical recycled furniture parts that mirror each other. These are taped and I will use recycled wood screws to tie this partially worked Himalayan grid paper to them.
"roots and seeds" with slices of a turmeric rhizome and a lily seed pod as core to each panel expression. Wheat paste has been drawn in to each panel, roots a grounded design and seeds that of the pod's expression of above dispersing to ground. It's a spring/summer time event.
