"Field Mouse portrait"

some notes on "Field Mouse portrait";
Field Theory and Creativity as cellular expression through the species…) as well as in the geography, trees, water and the elements, etc all things and non things….

‘”out of chaos comes creativity” as a shift toward growth and/or expansion of matter/non-matter stasis. As creativity emerges out of the human experience as a result of cellular communicating do Field Mice, cattle, trees, stone, air etc also express this creativity and what does it look like?

a mother Black Bear and her two cubs visited "Dock and the Apple Tree" this morning. I had just jumped into my clothes with awakening to the first frost this morning and looked out the kitchen window for this wonder filled visit. Grabbing my cell and excitedly attempting unobtrusiveness to them I stepped out on the deck, slick with icy frost, and snapped this one blurry eyed shot before she ushered her babes into the woods...
enThanks Black Bear for your co-creativity!!!

I opened 5' x 10' "Webh Celebration", 2009 from within its storage tube for & with Green Art Studio
~Hello Universe~

from my June 15th, 2010 post http://gregpatch.blogspot.com/2010/06/webh-celebration.html

The concept for the “Webh Series” originated as a continuation of the “Chakra Rising Wave Series.” The words wave, weave, and web are derived from the Proto-Indo-European root word webh. Within a template symbol, Webh employs three basic grays;  red/green, orange/blue, and yellow/violet. A symbolic representation of the webh on seven color fields creates a whole having 21 saparate panels. The textured pattern of the Lokta/Nepal paper augments the overall pattern within the panels by solidifying its foundation. "Webh Celebration" is 5' x 10'.

Webh is symbolic of the internal and external relationships between opposing concepts of us and them. Symbolic levels also include earth and water, fire and air, matter and non matter, imbalance and wellbeing, inhaling and exhaling, and di and da. It is the system expressed as an interconnected whole.

In art there has traditionally been realism and abstraction.  Artists are beginning to bridge this gap and to recognize and formalize a wholistic picture: real and abstract. Webh maintains the individuality and quality of each within a wholistic relationship, while creating a separate entity within the unique character of each piece. There is a quantum moment within a process when these merged perspectives bring forth the world in its totality. The work becomes a self portrait as well as a portrait of a culture. Artists are coupling their "new"*understanding of 'wholeness' to the greater community. In these paintings this pattern appears at a level where old and new meet, link, renew, and weave together again.  Many artists today are reconnecting to our roots and traditional cultures. This work can be symbolic of the basis of life, DNA, the Caduceus.  The webh is infinite.

[Footnote this] “New,” used above, is in quotes because this concept of wholeness is not new. Many older civilizations understood this duality. The Aborigine, Native American, African traditionals, Celtic, Ayurvedic, European, Chinese and Asian peoples possessed this understanding of a whole, interelated and interdependent conceptual framework of our inner and outer world.

cooling flowering dogwood & setting March Sun
Feel and Be, its free to look and learn with the healing environment all around us and allow your/ourself to heal with the seasons...
and/or,
spend time preparing your/our medicines
and/or,
spend money on a health care provider who practices with the Earth's gifts...

 I've doctored/edited the photo to express the energetic spirit of the Flowering Dogwood in its' application with healing. Its an expression of doctrine of signature and/or plant spirit medicine qualities. Flowering Dogwood as an herbal has been used as an astringent, febrifuge, stimulant and tonic. It's inner bark has been shown effective in decoction or tincture for Malaria and other fevers and has been internally applied as a substitute for Quinine. Externally it can be applied to hot or feverish sores and/or lesions in decoction, oil, salve and/or tincture forms. True Flower Essences and Essential Oils would have similar properties.
Some American Indian tribes used the twigs/branches as toothbrushes. They were noted to have very white and clean teeth! No doubt, being the qualities of the plant.

Bach Flower remedies lists as;
"Dogwood
Positive qualities:
Grace-filled movement, physical and etheric harmony.
Patterns of imbalance:Awkward and painful awareness of the body; emotional trauma stored deep within the body.

When we say that a soul is filled with grace, we are referring to a particular fullness and flexibility of the etheric body, the most immediate sheath which surrounds the physical body. If there is repeated violation to the body-either through physical or sexual abuse, or by very harsh physical and materialistic living circumstances-the etheric body shrivels, and consequently the physical body hardens.

The soul suffers greatly from an inability to live properly within the physical-etheric body. The emotions can become hardened, and the body is felt as awkward and ungainly. Quite often such a person unconsciously repeats earlier patterns of degradation by choosing abusive relationships or exhibiting self-destructive tendencies.

The beautiful Dogwood flower essence helps to expand the etheric body and soften the physical body. The individual is able to feel more gentleness and inner sanctity, as the soul regains its state of grace through harmonious communion with the life or etheric body.

- from the 'Flower Essence Repertory', by Patricia Kaminsky and Richard Katz. The most comprehensive and user-friendly flower essence book we've found. Highly recommended for any practitioner."

In my search for a Flowering Dogwood Essential Oil I found only oils named Flowering Dogwood or Dogwood that contained combinations of other herbal essential oils without any Dogwood in them. The manufacturers were using the name Dogwood or Flowering Dogwood only. I would advise caution here. Perhaps the best solution would be to make your own or find a "kitchen Essential Oil/EO maker" you know personally with integrity.

"The natives of watery Pisces can be as variable as the sea. Emotionally, many ol them dwell in a shifting realm of miraculous metamorphoses, teary mists, rainbows reflections, froth, foam, bubbles, and rosy clouds at sunset lit by the incandescefli rays of a fading Sun. This can also be a sea of turbulent waves, tricky currents, and treacherous undertows. or even of death and dissolution. Like the ocean, Pisces is less gentle than it seems. However, most natives of this sign are quiet folk who love that which is elusive and evanescent - too beautiful to be real, or perhaps toe beautiful not to be real."

painting I did @1992 that I uncovered in this delve into the past along with yesterday's post that came as I was transitioning to natural materials in painting/artwork. It is on a mahogany (solid wood) panel with beeswax and natural pigments...

As we're entering the Chinese New Year of the Black (all colors) Water Snake there is an appropriateness to the unearthing of these two works @21 years later...
May we will to adjust to the Earth/Universal oriented changing flows/currents within/out our lives/environments in productive and abundant grace and within the Loving, Peaceful and Co-Creative Way...
