commenting on my charcoal river stone drawings project that I started just over a year ago, 7/27/16, with the Connecticut River and Deerfield River Valleys and moving into, and with, the Hudson River/and tributaries Valley of New York State:...
too often my charcoal drawings with the river stones and the rivers appear beautiful, photographic, and sometimes art like when in fact they are of Waters and Earth decimated and demoralized by human toxic wastes... in symbolic and possibly even in minute homeopathically cleansing applications I use charcoal from local circle fires, allowing my unconscious and conscious markings and the stones' formative textures to express our codependent relationship with Earth and Universal cosmologies...

omega duality in astrology there is the North and South Nodes that graphically use this symbol as opposing companions and through a wholistic perspective they can be seen as the duality with one axis and as part of a greater whole of infinite markings...

took this photo sketch on the recent trip to RI at Purgatory Chasm Park in Middletown of a bowl carved by spinning waters in granite. "pergatory" is a bit of a Christian negativism toward spinning and chasms as being hell instead of signs of spinning waters and holes in the Earth created by the behavior of the elements/energies... similarly we may experience Mercury retrograde as a time of things going "wrong" ethically, physically and/or spiritually in communications and flow in general. instead we can act to see/understand it as influencing a time for us to reflect on our growth since the last Mercury retrograde...
the photo morphs as we reflect on it by looking at it. animal and symbolic writing appears as pareidolia

of clockwise stirred circularly Spring rain water within two coupled Metal pans. as the 12th,
14th and 16th day of the month the metaphor of the number 6 appears. the most important
influence of the 6 is its loving and caring nature. it's about sacrificing, caring, healing, protecting and teaching others. no one, no family or no community can function without the energy of the 6 to maintain the unit together, safe and healthy. They are the cohesive energies that keep self, family or community together. these energies are of the dimensionalities of positive and negative characteristics depending on the lifestyles of the involved. the container within the container will represent the holding of one space by another space, or the caretaker(s) and the care receiver(s). the relationship of light and dark exists as a balanced dance in space and time...

the sequence of this installation starts in the Evening with Midday of the 2nd day then Morning of the 3rd day, repeats the following Morning, than Midday of the 5th day and with the 2nd Evening on the 6th day as a meandering horizontal "s" to this point in space and time marked by the 3 parts of a day, Evening, Midday and Morning...
