I worked/played this sketch on both sides of Mars going Direct at around 7 pm edt, depending on which side of the mountain you live...
Mars is a symbol of an energetic that has been around longer than human species... mankind uses names/symbols of this energy with Thor, God, Ares, etc. and word symbols like war, aggression, penetrate, action, etc. to represent as personifications of this energy... as we slide into a more quantum reality the meanings and usefulness or context of these word symbols are shifting more into recognition and expression with marks, colors, textures, placements, conceptuals...

as an artist I'm focused on where the images come from and allowing them to emerge. we get our images from the Nature around and within us. we see pareidolia in a cloud, a tree and we revere or emulate them. the world alphabets come from these archtypicals. when and how they come with alphabets, shamanic divinations, Jungian dreamwork or with automatic mark making is a/part of the human energetic process on Earth… collaborating with Nature by initiating the materials and tuning the image through its’ final stages. the images are directly correlated to what's going on in my life or environment in some visual mythological way at that time and in that season, or in this life. as a human I'm still trying to figure out what it's all about and am constantly blown away with that Nature is the artist here and I'm but a very small part of it...  these consistent markings of patterns and imagery are fractal enfoldments...

art challenge; 3 works from the 1990's, 3rd of 5 posts... in the late 80's I began using natural materials in my art work; beeswax with natural pigments based on Goethe's color wheel and other natural materials like leaves, grasses, wood and metal in the natural environment...
I'm inviting Destry Shannon Sparks, Richard Sassoon and Joan Millette to the art challenge...

"brick pareidolia short story of a cycle of races in the U.S.A."
finds basis from the Native American prophetic story of the Seven Fires;
"Seven prophets came to the Anishinabe. They came at a time when the people were living a full and peaceful life on the North Eastern coast of North America. These prophets left the people with seven predictions of what the future would bring. Each of the prophecies was called a fire and each fire referred to a particular era of time that would come in the future. Thus, the teachings of the seven prophets are now called the "Seven Fires"."
http://www.wabanaki.com/seven_fires_prophecy.htm
this entropic myth/tale/prophecy is not exclusive to the Anishinabe story of "Seven Fires". The story line can be found in most cultures and is a description of a culture reaching its' flowering and dying back to be replaced by next years crop and implemented by those present whether they are plant or animal. It is enfoldment.
