14th and 16th day of the month the metaphor of the number 6 appears. the most important

 influence of the 6 is its loving and caring nature. it's about sacrificing, caring, healing, protecting and teaching others. no one, no family or no community can function without the energy of the 6 to maintain the unit together, safe and healthy. They are the cohesive energies that keep self, family or community together. these energies are of the dimensionalities of positive and negative characteristics depending on the lifestyles of the involved. the container within the container will represent the holding of one space by another space, or the caretaker(s) and the care receiver(s). the relationship of light and dark exists as a balanced dance in space and time...

applied red (Earth), green (Heart) and violet (Spirit) Earth pigments onto the surface of clockwise stirred circularly Spring rain water within two coupled Metal pans. as the 9th day of the month the metaphor of the number 9 and the container within the container can represent setting limits and establishing firm boundaries... and here with one photo image above and the other below the number 8 formed by the circles suggests an infinite space. the circle can also represent an infinity... the relationship of light and dark exists as a balanced dance in space and time...

The concept for the “Webh Series” originated as a continuation of the “Chakra Rising Wave Series.” The words wave, weave, and web are derived from the Proto-Indo-European root word webh. Within a template symbol, Webh employs three basic grays;  red/green, orange/blue, and yellow/violet. A symbolic representation of the webh on seven color fields creates a whole having 21 saparate panels. The textured pattern of the Lokta/Nepal paper augments the overall pattern within the panels by solidifying its foundation. "Webh Celebration" is 5' x 10'.

Webh is symbolic of the internal and external relationships between opposing concepts of us and them. Symbolic levels also include earth and water, fire and air, matter and non matter, imbalance and wellbeing, inhaling and exhaling, and di and da. It is the system expressed as an interconnected whole.

In art there has traditionally been realism and abstraction.  Artists are beginning to bridge this gap and to recognize and formalize a wholistic picture: real and abstract. Webh maintains the individuality and quality of each within a wholistic relationship, while creating a separate entity within the unique character of each piece. There is a quantum moment within a process when these merged perspectives bring forth the world in its totality. The work becomes a self portrait as well as a portrait of a culture. Artists are coupling their "new"*understanding of 'wholeness' to the greater community. In these paintings this pattern appears at a level where old and new meet, link, renew, and weave together again.  Many artists today are reconnecting to our roots and traditional cultures. This work can be symbolic of the basis of life, DNA, the Caduceus.  The webh is infinite.  

[Footnote this] “New,” used above, is in quotes because this concept of wholeness is not new. Many older civilizations understood this duality. The Aborigine, Native American, African traditionals, Celtic, Ayurvedic, European, Chinese and Asian peoples possessed this understanding of a whole, interelated and interdependent conceptual framework of our inner and outer world.

"Every God in Hinduism has his Shakti and without that energy they have no power. Lakshmi is the energy of Vishnu. Parvati is energy of Shiva. Shakti is also called Devi or mahadevi, assuming different roles as Sati, Parvati, Durga and Kali.

So Shakti is the mother goddess, the source of all, the universal principle of energy, power or creativity. The worship of Shakti as this energy is the main objective of Tantra Yoga. Shakti is inseparable from the one who beholds her, the Shakti-man, the masculine principle or Universal father. Shakti-man is called Brahman by the writers of the Upanishads. In the Tantric tradition he is called Shiva.

The play of female energy has no beginning and no end. Although it is restless, the energy moves through alternating periods of motion and rest, during which order is re-established. Tantra believes that as long as the phenomenal world exists, it is the Universal mother who is the creator, preserver and destroyer. Thus Shakti should be worshipped as an aspect of the divine.

The motivating force behind this eternal play that creates the illusionary world of phenomena is the power of desire. This desire is present in the one who is without attributes, the nameless and formless aspect of the divine."

organic coffee poured into dishpan/vat and the play, yes a performance in the art studio! My intentions are to expand on my dot work to create daily expressions with visual art as a written form of caligraphy to express what I know and what I don't know. Each dot representing a word/phrase, a momentary expression through time that builds like alphabet on the written page. And each dot is infinite in its possibilities within and without itself. Using color, line, forms within each dot and the all of dots together as the story expands to the pages of this dot project.

the grid of the grill and a realm of infinity in the pavement is what struck me framing the license plate of an "arts" in "the Creative State North Carolina" supporter. Interesting the "t" in arts is a bit edgy with Christianity. 
The "Christian Cross" is a recognizable section of the grid. Is the "t" intentional or a graphic unconsciousness in a predominantly Christian state? North Carolina and Nebraska are tied at 53%, seventh nationally, for percentage of Christians in their population. The national average is now 42%. Is their faith in statistics?
Or, perhaps, the Celts are infiltrating out of the Appalacians!
Or, perhaps there is someone in the graphic design world recognizing a balance point between the horizontal and the vertical in the grid. A point where intersecting lines brings balance to naturally occurring structures, ie. our body with arms outstretched, buildings, solar systems and things invisible to & indivisible from us...
