White Water Lily covers a good portion, they close with Sun set, the shore seen covered with Cattail, a very handy roots and shoots vegetable with reed and leaf utility, and the mature fluff a good insular material... touted as good fishing...
Plattekill was incorporated in 1800, it has an old church and stone house, some of its Apple orchards and Shawangunks seen from NYS Thruway...
this is/was Apple country/think agricultural pesticide and fertilizer run off...
