one could purchase many of the pages of writing dots and rearrange them every so often like the word messages chips on your refridgerator, get one and reverse it, tear it up and use as thumbnails in the same way, or just frame it and enjoy my creativity if that is safer for you. Get a deck and use them like Tarot/Angel.divination cards, etc. etc.... be imaginative with them, or write your own! organic coffee poured into dishpan/vat and the play, yes a performance in the art studio! My intentions are to expand on my dot work to create daily expressions with visual art as a written form of caligraphy to express what I know and what I don't know. Each dot representing a word/phrase, a momentary expression through time that builds like alphabet on the written page. And each dot is infinite in its possibilities within and without itself. Using color, line, forms within each dot and the all of dots together as the story expands to the pages of this dot project.

latest work... a progressing transformation note 4

 This is the first panel of two panels at near completion. Will develop the second panel and bring it to the point of comparative completion to the first, and then finalize both panels as diptych like. Keep in mind that come Summer Solstice the next major transformation of this project will take place.
a couple points to make:
- art work created to be a/part of ceremony/ritual nourishing, healing and aligning our spirit, mind and body to the transformational way in which our lives enfold here on Earth and in nature.
- serve to stabilize the sense of community in nature for the people.
- art making as functioning in aesthetics and ritual.

in adding more color the approach to application to this Nepalese Lotka paper has changed. One reason is the change of season with lowering temperatures and a couple days of clouds. The heat is on, I've set it to 72˚ F to help in keeping the crayons warm for ease in application. 68˚ F was hardening the crayon. Subtle. Today before taking this picture the sun was bright coming in on the crayons and the surface of the paintings at my table. The second effect is that this paper is very thin, tearing easily at the edge and where the jute cord runs. More noticeable in the cooler temperature with the harder wax. The temps will be warming up again to more the average temp here of 72. I can turn the heat off and go back to an easier application process....

latest work... a progressing transformation note 1

... is a piece I've started on a paper from Nepal made by the paper maker sandwiching two sheets of Lotka (Daphne bohlua) papers onto a jute Corchorus spp string infrastructure. The Daphne bohlua flowering shrub's inner bark is used commonly in Nepal for paper making. Medicinally the plant is used as a bitter, febrifuge and purgative. If there is a relation/connection to using this medicinal plant in my artwork I will let you know after I puke! A question coming to mind is was it first used as a medicinal or for paper making. Often when working with plant material one absorbs the medicinal properties through the skin. The grid allows me continuity in exploring the work I was doing with my Weave and WebhGround Series. The string relates to string theory more literally than how I picture the string transversing the universe!
