I started this piece with the 10/22 photo sketch and decided when
putting some wood/twigs from lawn Fall-ings this past week to take image two
and to continue a progression work through for nine shots along
with the expanding on contracting times this cross quarter and its’
astrological/astronomical context...
fire pit three was shot midday when the bright Sun light shown
through the Yellow and Red Fall foliage. with the Mongolian tribal Tuvan
peoples when the Sun shines through the clouds at dawn and through the trees at
noon the light becomes significantly different. this light is referred to by
the Tuvan as huun huur tu, meaning Sunbeams, literally "Sun propeller"... I discovered this meaning when listening to the musical group
Huun Huur Tu who play the traditional folk music of the Tuvan. create the opportunity for
yourself to listen, see them in concert
or at dawn or midday when the huun
huur tu appears…
