GridSunrise in process
Laying in the initial color sketch I'm interested in the general idea of design placement of the colors using the photo as a model. Am concerned with maintaining the "field" sense of the WeaveGround Series. This will bring the completed painting more away from a landscape conceptual to a grid color field and emotive expression. From here I'll let go of the photo and develop color, line, texture, relief, grid, or weave and fieldness as I work weaving the piece to its completion. It is the process in development that I'm focussing on here.
