triangle is a most stable of forms and can represent symbolically am working lately with two triangles with same base line, Rifton - Esopus amd Black Creek with John Burroughs Sanctuary/Esopus/1/23matter, non matter and the forces that move them, as well as other classical trilogies... working with the stone markings locally along Roundout Creek with High Falls NY, Rosendale NY and Kingston NY and Wallkill River from Tillson and Rifton NY to Ulster Park NY… the two rivers conjoin with Ulster Park and NE the river conjoins with Kingston NY and with Hudson River… I’ve now realized with mapping and have drawn this Green lined triangle connecting the points with the Charcoal, Stone and Water sites along Roundout and Wallkill… the Red dot is where I live, my Heart(h), from center out and in… my two daughters were home births along Wallkill, one with Tillson/Rosendale and one with St Remy/Rfiton... I’m working more with the symbolism of the inclined triangle with Heart(h) as the universal feminine & masculine principles… as with Yoni with female principle and triangle representing the universal male principle, or Lingham… yin<>yang, female<>male<>etheric energies that moves them... The symbols are metaphors with the land and space… triangle flames light our ways...

each marking paralleling early writing and petroglyphs with space and time macrocosms and microcosms... each marking along the 38 rivers and creeks connect with others... from the Deerfield, Connecticut and Hoosic rivers with VT, MA and NY, Hudson River and Kinderhook Creek, Mohawk River, Normanskill Creek, Wallkill River, Roundout Creek, Esopus Creek, Catskill Creek, Claverack, Agawamuck, Basic, Kaaterskill, Papscanne, Punsit, Schoharie Creeks and Valatie Kill, Kline Kill/Stone Kill, Mordimer Kill, Black Creek, Peterskill and Shawangunk Kill with NY, Housatonic and Naugatuck Rivers with MA and CT, Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers, all in the Northeast US and the French Broad River with NC and TN, Big Laurel Creek, Swananoa River, Spring Creek, Paint Rock and Upper Shad Creeks with NC, Pigeon River, Nolichuckey, Holston River and Tennessee River with TN, 23 Waterway... looking at a larger matrix on a map, a larger drawing emerges from all the sites as a writing marked form... and implementing fauxto journaling each marked event, and often writing a short poetics descriptive inspired with family/community, international news, astrology and astronomy and interweaving the webh with collective and personal energies with that time and space and as reciprocal expression with it directly and minimally...

I recently let go of a storage unit rental where I found mold, and mice were munching several paintings... the first and last had no previous underpainting, the other paintings had paintings under them from earlier with my art discovering... I lay the work out with Earth to allow this entropic process enfolding and have been photo journaling the changings as seasonal liberating passages ...

as I let go with each adding to my stories with them...

passages and pathways change rapidly with Spring weather here with the Northeast US... with Saturn and Uranus conjunct the Moon's South Node retrograding with Capricorn our deep and structured past becomes workable with allowing opening to our shadow and its' structures... we can rework them in the now to reestablish how and where we want them to grow... digging and turning over the Earth, planting seed and setting out young plants in our real or metaphorical garden is a physical sense with this concept... reworking old thinking patterns that no longer serve our growth is another, more psychological and spiritual sensibility and may with a nudge amy be our gateway with kind understanding for now, as well ness...

“centering/center ring”

an installation series atop repurposed square posts implementing the tree’s center ring as visual ground and catalyst with my own energetic center ring.

I began the “centering/center ring” project in Wilmington, NC. moving Northward placing the installations through to sites along the Connecticut River Valley and to the West the pastoral Berkshire Hills of MA. the posts ground and connect the Eastern seaboard at sites of institutes of higher learning, historical significances and spiritual landmarks.

sensing with an energetic approach my directed mark of flaked paint and beeswax with natural color pigment as mediums are set upon the post’s natural circular end grain. they are framed by their Human square cut perimeter and immediate surrounding area.

the flaked paint I mark with are Earth sourced ochres blended with an organic wheat paste and allowed to dry on a metal plate in the sun. this natural drying process creates flaked forms both chaotic and coherent. often pareidolia are present as the medium completes drying and lifts naturally off the metal surface. smaller particles are incorporated as colorful textural field components.

the installation sketches are imaged with digital. the photos are journalistic acknowledgements recording the energies of place. a wooden post’s essential character, weather conditions of the moment, my own present expression, color and density of the day and that of the mediums in relation to “centering/center ring” in the wholistic experience, et al…

The intention is to expand on “dot(s)writing” with creating journaling expressions of visual experience as a calligraphy form. Expressing what I know and what I don't know. Each/all dot(s) representing a word, phrase, a tome, a momentary expression through time that constructs like alphabet/asemics on the written page. Each/all dot(s) is/are infinite in its/their possibilities within and without it/them self. Color, line, form within and without each/all dot wholistically. The dot and the space around the dot. The all of dot(s)/space(s) together as the story expands with the page(s) of journaling.

purchase many of the pages of "dotswriting" and rearrange them every so often like the word messages chips on your refridgerator, bathtub, city hall, send one or them to friends, secret enemies (7th house) along ley lines, gift them to prisoners, the Prez/girl or guy next door, if you wish buy them all or raid my home and burn them!, (DO NOT disturb the peas) get one and reverse it, tear it up and use as thumbnails in the same way, or just frame it and enJoy if that is safer for you. Get a deck and use them like Tarot/Angel.divination cards, etc. etc.... be imaginative with them, or write your own!
