post with Housatonic River with 18 (#9) sites I marked/sketched/dreamt
along it's route...
a journey with two days...
day 2...  7/16/18...
Sheffield is the first activation installation with the second day working with the Housatonic River...
it is the 10th activation...

I'm working with charcoal on stones and rivers with Earth … with being with alignment and with the energies I sense with the space and place, the time of day and the seasons as continuum... these moments of drawing express marks of our collective connection with our universal matrix, or fractal... using charcoal speaks with my consideration that before I make a mark to do no harm and with action with accord... I use charcoal from fires local to each site... charcoal is elemental with all life and is a filtering and cleansing substance... as that I see my use with it as healing with homeopathic perspective applications and as symbolic energetically... rain, rivers, water, etc. transfer into, conjoining with the broader Waters... connecting with rivers, Water tables and the Oceans and Seas with Earth... the primal markings are of a pre literate and/or post literate form,
similar to early writing and petroglyphs...

each drawing I've done along the rivers connect with the others... from the Deerfield and Connecticut rivers with MA & VT, Hudson River and Kinderhook Creek, Wallkill River, Roundout River, the Esopus and Catskill Creeks with NY, Housatonic and Naugatuck Rivers with MA and CT, Delaware and Susquehanna Rivers, all in the Northeast US... and the French Broad River with NC and TN, Big Laurel Creek, Swananoa River, Spring Creek, Paint Rock and Upper Shad Creeks with NC, Pigeon River, Nolichuckey and Tennessee Rivers and Holston Rivers NC & TN... when the hundreds of site markings, looking at the larger matrix on a map, and connecting the sites with line/energy a larger drawing emerges as a writing mark with our larger fractal selves/planet, Solar System and the outer galaxies...

this small scale large scale project needs funding and with support from the people and small royalties from Social Security I continue this journey... I have several Youtube videos, a blog, and Facebook page, www.gregpatchartwork.com that I maintain daily with new work with travels that I experience, with various writings about the place where the markings are placed and the photos are done... ie. Kinderhook (where the children play) Creek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5XgZGFTsNU ... I accept contributions, barter, trade and places to stay or tent along the way and as well "likes"... my work now calls me to complete Delaware River, Susquehanna River, Tennessee River and on to its' confluence with Ohio and Mississippi Rivers and on... it could also be that I travel to other lands to work along the rivers where my intentions of Love, Peace and CoCreativity are messages for the Earth and the Sky to see... come along with me with this journey!... I also encourage others to set marks with charcoal (cleansing elemental) or other natural markings to honor life...
