here we are back with 6 pieces done while on break from the internet. these daily paintings reflect my mutable response and the mutable environment I live in here in the Northeast US on successive days. we have had seasonal cool days, very hot 97˚, clear, foggy and rainy days where it seemed at times like Summer and times like Fall as we approach what ancient Celtic traditions referred to as Lammas or Lughnasadh on Aug 1st. I am not a Pagan though of Celtic heritage. the other ancient traditions of Budhism, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, etc who also recognize and honor our connection with Earth and the Universe have and still do recognize 5 seasons. it is a time of harvesting vegetables and grains and we feast and celebrate with their seasonal arrival. astrologically it is a time of energetic seasonal shifting. colors in the environment become more bronze like with shifting color spectrums of reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and violets. the sky also makes a color spectrum shift... and of course moods become renewed and there are cosmic shifts as always...
