Cherrie's Tanager

this is a male Cherrie's Tanager of the Pacific Coast Costa Rica. while I was in Dominical
one followed me around quite a bit. He wing touched me twice, one on the left cheek and one on the right. the writer at http://creagrus.home.montereybay.com/tanagers.html reports spectrographically the intense red on male Ramphocelus is the brightest red in the bird world. With each brushing Cherrie's bright red exploded, flashing this red throughout my vision and being. I'll be looking, meditating and learning on this more during the next year.
